Good-bye Trent
Last night I might have attended my last NIN concert ever : ( I really hope that Trent will come back later on after he’s done pursuing other things. I missed him opening and could give a long story about an a-hole who made us late… but I’m gonna leave it out. They didn’t play Gave Up, which is my fave, but they played my second fave, Wish. I also enjoyed Head like a Hole and Survivalism a lot. I’m not really into his slow stuff. There were a couple slowish ones I liked, but I’d rather jump up and down and rock out.
It was a solid performance, but I really wish I could relive the show at Soma in San Diego. I swear there is never going to be a concert that ranks higher than that one. Trent is so talented with music and lyrics. NIN is my favorite band and I can’t see that ever changing.
I was gonna leave after NIN with my friends who I came with but Ronnie came to the show, so I stayed through Jane’s Addiction. Perry is nuts man, and he seems to love attention. He also seemed to want to please his fans though, so that’s good. I like him more than that band. I liked two of their songs, and another two were okay. The rest I was indifferent about. The most entertaining thing was him talking. The most enjoyable thing was seeing how much Ronnie was into the music; he looked like me during NIN : )
One thing Trent didn’t do enough was talk. I think he’s talked more at every other show I’ve seen of his. And I actually expected him to be more chatty this time, since he’s supposedly all happy and in love. So that was disappointing.
It was a fun night with a variety of friends.
