So I’m getting on the freeway this morning, and the 2 lanes have to merge right away. This is all fine and good as long as the meter isn’t on, which it wasn’t. Merging is like a zipper, one car on the left, one car on the right… So the car to the left goes and I go behind him… the left car behind me though was pissed off I went in front of him. I wasn’t sure why he was being such an ass, but he really didn’t want me in front of him. I sped up a bit to try to give him some room.
We were all going on the freeway and I decided that I better let him go in front of me since he was apparently in much more of a hurry than I was. I slowed a bit and didn’t see him pass, a different vehicle went by and I started to get over. But then there he was pretty much on top of my car, not letting me over. My right tires had to go up on the curb as I tried to slow so he’d go in front of me. He paced me for a while though.
Then finally he got in front of me and put his brakes on, so of course I had to as well so I wouldn’t hit him. Someone behind me honked and I honked at him. The whole thing scared the crap out of me so I decided to report him and called 911, which automatically goes to the CHP emergency number since I’m on the freeway. I should’ve memorized the guy’s plate though because he went a few lanes over and I couldn’t see it
The call was pretty much useless since I didn’t have the plate. UGH. I was mostly mad at first and the lady on the phone is telling me to keep my distance (probably so I won’t get shot) as I’m trying to get over to him to write it down. At the end of the call she asked my name… probably in case I ended up dead :p
I’m doing better now, but I was out of sorts for a couple hours after. It reminded me of a CSI episode.
