Red Dog

If you could just take a few minutes to support Christopher Coppola’s submission on this site, I would appreciate it! It is for a show called On the Lot that will be coming out next spring on Fox. Their site says “Every week, the hopeful filmmakers will produce short films from a chosen genre, running the gamut from comedies to thrillers, personal dramas to romance, sci-fi to horror.”

This sounds like a great idea for a show, and I would love to see what Christopher would come up with from week to week. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for him.

Thank you!! Also, the above art is by Doug :)

I Should be Sleeping

But that would be no fun at all. My teacher let us out early (at 9) so I decided I was going to be productive. I took a shower and was going to clean, but the computer sucked me in. But it was actually for a purpose. I applied to transfer to Cal State LA. It took a while, but it wasn’t too terrible. I do need to mail them a check for $55 now though. That’s sorta terrible.

There are only a couple weeks left of this semester, which I didn’t fully realize until tonight. I guess that’s what got me going. Never mind the 11/30 deadline to apply for Fall 07. I dunno why I was putting it off. I think maybe it made me nervous. But that isn’t for another 9 months. Next semester I get to take government and biology and pass them. I got a D in government in high school. Not really looking forward to that… so of course I signed up for a late-start online course to put off the pain. The biology class is twice a week. The last class I had like that was statistics in Fall of 05.

Now I am going to bury myself in blankets.

New Week, Still Sick

My nose has stopped running. That’s good. No more piles of tissue everywhere. I’m hoping by the morning I will have gotten some energy back. And my head is still stuffed up, so that can leave too, thanks :)

Blah :p

I got sick on Tuesday night, thankfully class was canceled. Then Wednesday was worse, and Thanksgiving day even worse. I was supposed to go to my aunt’s house to see my cousin who was only in town for that day. I was feeling way too crappy to drive that far and just slept most of the day to try to get better.

I am still sick. Bleh. Such timing. Two days off of work, and I have to sleep through them. Not cool. I want a vacuum to suck all of the mucus from my head.

I never blogged about seeing Tenacious D last Saturday… they were pretty damn good. The show starts out in Kyle’s apartment, later they get electrocuted and end up in hell. Charlie Chaplin, Colonel Sanders, and the Anti-Christ join the band. Fuck yeah.

There was a part where Jack Black eats some “Shitake mushrooms” to give him some energy for the show. Sooo funny. A giant mushroom (Lee) comes dancing on stage, and Jack pukes cuz he ate 9 shrooms. Comedy gold.

The opening acts were Supafloss and Neil Hamburger. Supafloss sang some interesting songs that made me laugh such as Bounce, which is all about their balls bouncing and tea bagging. Neil Hamburger had a Tony Clifton vibe, but is no Andy Kaufman. He did make sure to offend every person in the audience at some point. I think the thing that got me was something about raping little kids. He got the entire audience to boo him quite a few times. His Courtney Love jokes were welcomed. It was fun times.

Send me good vibes that this stupid cold goes away please =)

Ohhh, someone shot them singing Fuck Her Gently at the show I was at… watch!

I’m writing to tell you that you should check out Charissa’s MySpace page. She has an amazing voice, and you might dig her. I saw her perform live last Friday, and it made me wonder how there is so much crap on the radio, and the good stuff (like her) aren’t on it.

I’m a friend of her brother, and she was a friend of my brother. :) She is one of the few good things to come out of K. Falls in my opinion. The pic is from her MySpace and was done by Shootie HG.

That his tickets to the HOB show in LA are 2 for 1 today… and the price is only $20. No, I’m not linking that shit.

…they are doing 2 for 1 for Jerry Lee Lewis (who is a million years old) and his tickets are $42.50. He rules.
